Admission & Orientation
Admission
MSU HEP admits students exclusively for the Fall semester. While recruitment is ongoing throughout the year, early application is strongly encouraged due to limited availability.
Orientation
Orientation is a crucial first step to success in the MSU HEP program. Research shows that students who attend orientation are more likely to succeed and face fewer challenges throughout their academic journey.
MSU HEP offers:
- Two in-person orientation sessions at satellite locations in August
- One online orientation session in September
These sessions are designed to provide essential program information, access to resources, and an introduction to the support network that will guide students through the GED completion process.
Participation is strongly encouraged as it reflects MSU HEP's commitment to academic success and personal development.
Satellite Locations and Outreach
To better serve students across Michigan, MSU HEP operates several satellite locations to support coordination between staff and participants. Current satellite locations include:
- Dowagiac
- Hart
- Holland
These locations primarily serve the Southwest Michigan region, but outreach and recruitment efforts also extend throughout Michigan and into neighboring states to increase access to the program.
